Our group was established in 2007 after the demise of the local flying club by 4 private pilots who put funds together to refit the Cessna 172 Hawk XP. The engine has been rebuilt and a new 3 blade propeller and a new transponder was fitted. Trips to Cork, Bantry, Arran Islands, Donegal, Dublin, Isle of Man, Wales etc etc are regularly taken as well as the favorite ... Ring of Kerry which takes about 35 minutes.....
We take friends up as well who love to take photographs of their houses or just the beautiful Kerry area.
The plane is currently based in the hangar of Rathcoole (EIRT) close to Milstreet and Killarney, We enjoy the great freedom of a private licensed field!! We are actively looking for pilots who want to join our group and fly this magnificent plane.
